Power grids with harmonics(application of non-linear loads e.g. rectifiers and inverters)require special attention to the hidden danger of resonance when selecting power factor compensation system. In order to avoid the dangerous situation of resonance, capacitors must be connected in series with tuned filter reactor of reasonable reactance.

KLD-Low Voltage filter reactor has high resistance value accuracy, and has sufficiently high linearity to withstand the switching of the capacitor, and will not cause saturation due to great harmonic distortion. At the same time, the iron core reactor with magnetic leakage prevention design ensures lower loss and noise level, and provides a good solution for application of product.

Features

The coil of KLD-Low Voltage filter reactor is made by winding high-purity copper wire(Nomex insulated wire with insulation class H or double-layer insulated enameled wire with insulation class H),and Nomex high-quality insulation paper is used for isolation between layers; iron core adopts high-quality silicon steel sheet. After completion of assembly, the whole reactor is impregnated with H-level environmentally friendly insulating paint under vacuum pressure,and then cured in the oven; the correct selection of the number and position of air gap ensures the lowest loss of iron core and coil; the iron core column, yoke and air gap are tightened to reduce noise; the insulation system complies with UL1446.

KLD-Low Voltage filter reactor has the function of over-temperature protection (normally closed120℃). When the temperature of reactor reaches the preset opening action condition, the over-temperature protection device will cut off the circuit timely and the reactor stops working. When the temperature of reactor drops to the set reset level, the over-temperature protection device automatically restores the circuit conduction, and the reactor can be put back into working state without frequent maintenance. This design largely guarantees the safety and continuity of the reactor's work, avoids the possibility of self-damage when harmonics are controlled, and greatly extends the service life of reactor and other components connected to it.

 

Application areas

Low-voltage compensation reactors are used in series with capacitors to form low-voltage var compensation devices, to provide var compensation to the power grid system, improve power factor, reduce line and transformer losses, and play the role of voltage support. Meanwhile, it suppresses the amplification effect of harmonic current, eliminates the hidden danger of resonance, and fully protects the operation safety and service life of the capacitor.

Low-voltage filter reactor and filter capacitor are connected in series to form harmonic filter device,which can compensate for var and absorb large amount of harmonics, which greatly reduces electrical losses, improves electric power quality, purifies power grid, and protects the operation safety of power grid.
